Shopping
Falkirk Town Centre is one of the leading shopping destinations in Scotland and has become a much preferred choice of millions of shoppers and visitors from throughout Central Scotland and from further afield.
26 Shopping Streets - The Town Centre boasts two large and attractive shopping centres - The Howgate and Callendar Square Shopping Centres, Central Retail Park - a Retail and Leisure Park the likes of which you would normally find out-of-town, a fully pedestrianised High Street as well as 26 shopping streets packed with local independent stores.
National Names - Lovers of BIG name stores flock to the two shopping centres, the Retail Park and of course the High Street (the longest piece of ‘uninterrupted’ pedestrianisation in Scotland) where shoppers will find all the stores you would expect in a town of Falkirk’s size and status. Marks & Spencer, Boots, BHS, Next, Virgin, TK Maxx, Room 2, JJB Sports, River Island, WHSmith and Hawkshead, USC, Top Shop and Burtons are just a few of the well known names in town.
‘Off’ the High Street - These days people say that most town centres look the same, with the same stores and not enough individuality - not in Falkirk’s case. Take a few steps off the High Street to Cow Wynd, Wooer Street, Lint Riggs, Newmarket Street etc and you will find a huge selection of wonderful local independent businesses including Designer Boutiques, Model shops, Lingerie shops, Gift shops, and Galleries, the list is almost endless.
