Bromley is one of the South East's most popular shopping venues. The Glades shopping centre, in the heart of Bromley, boasts a wide range of specialist shops, in addition to all the favourite chain stores. The High Street, with its traffic-free environment, floral displays and state-of-the-art CCTV is both a relaxing and a stimulating place to shop. On Thursdays there is a general market at Bromley North station, and on Fridays a Farmers' Market in the High Street, while on Saturdays the High Street becomes the venue for an Arts and Crafts market.
